Elliott is a Principal for Microsoft Ventures in the Bay Area. His investments for Microsoft Ventures include; Layer Software and Livongo Health. Microsoft Ventures is a Series A through D investment fund, focusing on technology investments in the Artificial Intelli- gence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Big Data Analytics/Data Science, Cloud Infra- structure, and Enterprise SaaS sectors.
Previously, Elliott was a Vice President with Georgian Partners in Toronto, Ontario, where he led growth equity investments in cyber security, marketing automation, healthcare
IT, edu-tech, analytics, and AI companies. His investments included Kinnser Software, Influitive eSentire, Vision Critical, iParadigms (TurnItIn). Georgian Partners is a growth equity firm investing in expansion stage Enterprise Software, Internet and Information companies that are exploiting Applied Analycits: the convergence of Cloud-based business solutions, Big Data and broad Information Rights.
Prior to Georgian Partners, Elliott was a technology strategy consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton. While at BAH, he had a mixture of internal and external client engagements focused on Commercial Technology and Financial Services space (Fortune 10 and up), including: Cloud Technology, Software, Cyber Security, XaaS (Everything as a Service) and Healthcare IT.
Elliott began his career as a venture investor with Syncom Venture Partners in Washing- ton, DC., a widely recognized market leader at investing in venture capital in specialized segments of the media and communications industry.
Elliott has been a Board Observer for Canadian companies Influitive and eSentire and domestically for Kinnser Software, Weather Decision Technologies, Inc., V-Me Media, Inc. and CLEAR.
Elliott holds an MBA from Columbia Business School where he was an InSITE Venture Fellow and Robert Toigo Private Equity Fellow. He also received an MBA Fellowship from the highly regarded Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) program. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Morehouse College.
