“Torian J. Robinson is a nonprofit executive with development (fundraising) and programmatic ex- perience. He is currently a Senior Manager at the Harlem Children’s Zone and is responsible for 10 after school programs that serve over 2000 students and families. As Senior Manager, Torian pro- vides guidance in strategic planning and execution, operations management, budget planning, grant management and leadership development.
Torian transitioned into the nonprofit industry after accumulating over 8 years of experience in the finance industry. As a financial professional, Torian advised others on how to attain their short and long term goals through relevant and actionable financial strategies. At the age of 24, Torian was selected by HSBC to manage their Times Square branch; making him the youngest branch manager in the country. Torian went on to manage various HSBC branches including HSBC’s first Premier branch in the heart of Harlem, NY. In 2011, Torian helped launch Raiford, Roman, and Associates, an office of MetLife. In this role, Torian created his own target market, The Rising Affluent, as the fo- cus of his client work. The Rising Affluent consisted of urban professionals who belong to a diverse, influential cadre of tastemakers, moguls-in-training, and cultural curators.
Torian’s passion is serving others through the power of connecting. He was named to NV Magazine’s annual Movers and Shakers list in 2011. This followed his 2008 recognition as Who’s Who in Black New York City. Torian has served on a number of civic boards including the Harlem CARES Cir- cle of the National CARES Mentoring Movement, Morehouse Manhattan Alumni Association, the Business Resource Investment and Service Center (BRISC), and First Corinthian Baptist Church. His commitment to helping others achieve their dreams even extends into the performing arts. He has served as an executive producer of the one-man play, Any1Man, which has toured 5 U.S. cities.
Torian is a distinguished alum of Morehouse College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He currently resides with his wife and two sons in the historical village of Harlem, NY.”
